Jamalul Quran
It is the favor of Allah Almighty that there is no shortage of translations and commentaries of the Holy Quran. In this regard, from the work that has been done until today, it is felt that there is now no need for any (more) translation and commentary. But there is no disagreement in the fact that the series of commentary of the Holy Quran started from the era of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) himself and, by the grace of Allah Almighty, continues until today, and until now, many commentaries have been written in different languages.
Consequently, in every era, progress continued in the knowledge of man; new things kept coming forward and new philosophies kept being presented. New inventions brought such revolutions in human life that life reached the height of changes.
The Book of Allah has been successfully competing with these circumstances for the past fifteen centuries by passing through these revolutions. The revolution that occurred from the eighteenth century through science and technology, the world's major religions could not compete with it; for this reason, either the supremacy of religions was ended or, by subordinating them to human knowledge, secularism—meaning irreligious politics—had to be accepted.
But it is the distinction of the Book of Allah that it is competing well with the sciences of the modern era and is maintaining its utility and importance. There is a Hadith of Tirmidhi that the wonders of this (Book) will never end. Therefore, in every commentary, along with time, new points and new aspects keep coming forward, and every new commentary is different from previous commentaries in its presentation.
In view of this reality, if any new commentary is published, it is not merely for the sake of blessing and happiness, but rather to fulfill some such deficiency which remained in previous commentaries, or to fulfill some such need of the students of the Quran which they desire. In the present age, there is an extreme need to remove this confusion especially from the youth, due to which they, being influenced by the sciences and philosophies of science, are involved in complications and the dangers of deviation are hovering over their heads.
Keeping this feeling in view, Para 'Amma (the 30th chapter) was selected for explanation and clarification in the light of modern knowledge, so that an attempt could be made to remove those confusions which students and seekers of the Quran have to face in this era of science and technology. This work was started with this hope that whatever work is done on the basis of sincerity in the court of Allah, Allah Almighty definitely grants help.
"O Allah! Accept this service and forgive our slips and sins."
